sasha carassi is back on his phobiq imprint with the fiberboard ep!with synths sounding like liquid tension, the original mix is a journey through tough beats and frantic electronics. the mighty slam are in charge of the first remix and they take the dark and dirty route, stripping the original down and adding some bleakness of their own, only to surprise us with an old school-sounding breakdown. the acid mix is slightly more rolling, featuring snappy drums and pulsating percussion, which takes us to the fourth track of the ep closing up is tom laws, who has been making his own unmistakable noise as of late. utilizing simple,yet solid drums he offers us a clearer picture of the tense synths while maintaining the vibe of the original.

a1. >everybody techno< - this is typical of gideons dance floor techno style, thick beats with a marching bass-line. from the first beat we are guided through a tough no-holds-barred trip into an unforgiving world of the darker sides of techno music. a retrospective vocal with a sinister laugh completes this evil peak-time track.
a2. >flight to right now< - this minimal track snaps along with a very basic beat and synth combo. the synth rises as the track progresses to keep dance floors moving. there is a wonderfully simple aspect to this track that gets under the skin and allows people to really connect with it.
b1. >recession tool< (vocal mix) - recession tool is a chunky tech house track with a wonderfully chewed up vocal and ever-present reverse snares. the track pumps forward until a nice rising breakdown lifts to complete with more vocals and intricate drum loops.
b2. >rico< - rico is a long progressive track with a slow builds and a warped lead line. the least aggressive track on the ep and possibly the least expressive. that said, it still ticks along seamlessly with a perfectly crafted warble and smart drums.

after a recent short n sweet stint on tensnakes mirau imprint irish ex-pat mano le tough reemerges on internasjonal where he first saw the light of the day as a producer with the much acclaimed warhorn. yet even with such a rather small, straightforward discography mano managed to sculpture his unmistakeably very own style fusing the deeper shades of house and techno with a strong melodic sensibility that one would never even get the faintest idea to file it under the mostly bland tech-house genre. oblique boast a perfect effective dramaturgy with slighty spooky broken melody box theme rising out of a thick mist of grinding chords before morphing into a deep acid finale. french gentlemen of distinction and many styles chateau flight toughen up the beats and throw in some african wood percussions and sparse psychedelic dub effects for a superb rhythmically multi-layered rework.

today sees the all inn family launch their brand new imprint. not content with all inn records and super popular all inn limited, the team today launch the wonderfully titled all inn black. set to increase the excitement, all inn black will feature mostly new talents, whose music may not fit the sister labels, but has been too good for the team to pass on. black will also feature some cheeky releases from well established names, but under different alias. watch out! the sound of black is set to feature warm, tough and heavy rhythms. sounds that are perfect to help us in our mission to keep vinyl alive. the debut release on black comes from case sensitive, otherwise known as rising romanian talent cristi cons. as part of the sunrise roster, he is very much part of the new generation of romanian house producers.

ltd 2010 repress !!! marco carolas string of recent releases on plus8 and his own 2m imprint are now effortlessly hurtling forward under the weight of their own momentum and the bloody cash ep shows no sign of relenting. in fact if its possible, this collection of four new combustible tunes adds another dimension to his already substantial repertoire. on the title track bloody cash, carola immediately shows his intent, letting fly with a spiraling tribal groove full of bright, crisp percussive elements that stretch skywards towards the sun. the tough, earthy beats keep everything rooted to the ground as he taps into some age-old hedonistic urge, creating a universal groove that rolls out across the oceans before breaking on the shores of each continent with an all encompassing call to dance. the main body of the track incorporates a straight synth stab doused in reverb that sets the scene for the finely crafted main keyboard riff, which is an accomplishment in itself. alternating between two complimentary parts, it elevates the backing track to another level. perfectly balanced and enhanced for maximum danceability, its without doubt one of carolas finest works to date

fear of flying regular leif provides the 4th release for fofs revitalised limited label. a supa slick slice of modern vocal house, priority sees leif up his game with supremely tight production, a killa funked up b-line and sensual vocal from new recruit donna lea. for remix duties we opted for the up & coming talents of young un ethyl along with production partner flori. they come up with an altogether different take, coaxing elements of the vocal into a bigger sounding deep house experience. finally we thought we opt for a little bit of a curve ball in the shape of daze maxim. upon hearing dazes installment in the excellent story series we knew he was someone we needed to get on board - here daze strolls into tough tech house territory with a groove slightly reminiscent of rick wade at his most dance floor
